Sourdough, ciabatta, focaccia, and seasonal specialties — all baked from scratch using traditional methods and the finest flours. Our bread is our foundation, and we refuse to cut corners.
Visit UsEvery loaf, pastry, and shelf-stocked staple at The Lizard Lounge is chosen or crafted with an insistence on quality that you can taste. No shortcuts. No compromises. Just honest, handcrafted food — made here, for this community.
The Lizard Lounge started with a simple conviction: the food your family eats every day deserves better than the ordinary. So we built something different on SW 60th Street — a place where bread is baked properly, pastries are made with real ingredients, and the grocery shelves carry only what we'd put in our own homes.
We're not a chain. We're not chasing trends. We're your neighbors in Dunnellon, and we take our reputation seriously. Every product that passes through our doors has met a standard we set for ourselves — because when you walk into a local business, you should know exactly what you're getting.
From the oven to the shelf, everything at The Lizard Lounge is held to the same exacting standard.

Flaky croissants, rich danishes, seasonal tarts, and daily specials that change with what's best. Our pastry case is small by design — we'd rather do a few things exceptionally well than a hundred things adequately.

Pantry staples, specialty items, and kitchen essentials — each one selected because it meets a standard we'd accept in our own home. If we wouldn't eat it, it doesn't go on our shelves.
Visit UsWe don't follow industry shortcuts. We don't use preservatives to extend shelf life or substitute ingredients to cut costs. Every recipe at The Lizard Lounge exists because it passes a simple test: would we serve this to our own table?
That philosophy shows up in the crust of our sourdough, the lamination of our croissants, and the items we choose to stock on our grocery shelves. It's not the easiest way to run a business. It's the only way we know how.
Quality isn't a marketing term for us. It's the minimum bar we set for everything that leaves our kitchen or sits on our shelves.
